Resting down all the speculations on Ramjanambhoomi- babri masjid dispute case, which was probably the most controversial case in history of Indian judicial system. The five judge bench of supreme court has granted the entire 2.77 acres of disputed land to Hindus, while the Muslim side was given 5 acres of alternative land in Ayodhya.

       In the landmark decision of supreme court, the Hindus side was ordered to form a trust by the Centre to monitor the construction of ram Mandir. The petition by Nirmohi Akhara was quashed by the bench citing it wasn’t a ‘Shebait' or devotee of ram Lalla deity. The supreme court said that it was an unanimous decision.

       The landmark verdict came after nine years since allahabadhigh court favoured a judgement of 2:1 formula for three main petitioners namely Sunni wakf board, ram Lalla, and Nirmohi Akhada on  september 30, 2010. Out of court settlement was unsuccessful after either of the parties refuse to come to a compromise.

       Meanwhile, the entire country is on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents after the sc judgement today. The prime minister yesterday appealed to maintain peace and tranquility through a tweet. Most of the sensitive states has beefed up the security. Few states has even declared a holiday today for educational institutions.

supreme court of india had delivered a historic judgment in the 70 years old Rama Janmabhoomi case. The Apex court ruled in favor of ram Janmabhoomi Trust and allowed it to take control of disputed land. At the same time, the court tried to do a balancing act by pacifying the Muslim community.

It has instructed the government to give an alternate land of five acres in three months to build a mosque. The Apex court also termed the demolition of babri masjid as unlawful. Earlier, the court said that there is adequate material in the ASI report that babri masjid not constructed on vacant land. There was a structure underlying the disputed structure.

The court also said that the underlying structure was not an Islamic structure. "Muslims have presented no evidence of exclusive possession prior to 1857. But thereafter they offered namaz there till they were ousted in 1949 through desecration," the judgment said. The CJI Ranjan Gogoi-led bench of Justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer delivered a unanimous verdict on this issue. On the other side, security is beefed up across the country in the wake of this judgment.

At the same time, the court pacified the Muslim community instructing the government to give an alternate land of five acres in three months to build a mosque.

However, the Sunni Waqf Board said that it is not happy with the verdict and also announced that it will seek a review of the judgment. "The ayodhya verdict has a lot of contradictions. We will seek a review as we are not satisfied with the verdict," the board's lawyer Zafaryab Jilani said. It will take whatever legal recourse is possible, he said.

It is interesting to note that all the Muslim organizations have called for the people to maintain calm and not to resort to any protests over the issue. "Muslims in india are not so downtrodden that they can't get 5 acres of land for a mosque. It was about our legal rights. We weren't begging for land," hyderabadmpasaduddin owaisi announced.

He said "Chennai Super Kings was hit by turbulence with a two-year ban and staged an ultimate comeback in 2018. Turbulence can hit anybody. According to sources in a move that could benefit companies in the US who apply for H-1B visas for their employees, they will now have to pay a fee of $10 to register the applicant online with basic information when the applications are opened. Meanwhile from all the potential applicants that the companies register, the lottery process randomly picks the required number of candidates. Furthermore once they are picked, the employers are informed, who can then file the full application along with the requisite visa fees depending on the category. 

Reportedly H-1B visas that the USA issues is capped at 65,000 presently. Employers apply for the H-1B visa for their employees (applicants cannot apply directly), and india is one of the largest recipients of the visa. The fee paid for the registration is the responsibility of the petitioning employer, not the foreign worker.

Moreover the US Citizenship and Immigrationservices (USCIS) announced that this new rule will be effective from december 9 (for those applying for fiscal year 2021) and that the $10 fee is non-refundable. The agency stated “USCIS is fee-funded, and this non-refundable fee will support the new electronic registration system to make the H-1B cap selection process more efficient for both petitioners and the agency”. Perhaps this is beneficial for companies because they will not have to go through the process of having to submit a full, paper-based petition as required under the current selection process.
